Case Story – Pushparasa Anith- Masonry work
Pushparasa Anith is 29 years old young man who returned to their native place with his family in2018 from welfare centre. He was an employee in a yard & earned daily wages. He met an accident and his back bone was damaged and the doctor advised him “don’t do any heavy work”. So he had to loss his income. He was trying to get any assistance but he was rejected by all because of his disability. CFCD field staffs during their house hold assessment have identified this person. By the result of assessment & interview has had with him, he has provided with concrete mixer machine. As the price of this mixer higher than our allocated provision he has contributed some amount & purchased. He underwent a business training programme organized under SSRS project and gained support & knowledge about accounts keeping and the procedures while start up business. He has provided with Concrete mixer machine with the approval of DS office Tellipalai. As the price of this mixer higher than our allocated amount he has contributed some amount. His father in law supported him and he went for three wheeler driver. Now he is earning LKR.150, 000 per month. His income has increased in to 500%. Anith is earning LKR.80, 000 as monthly profit after paid 2 wages and depreciation for machine. He has promoted as the owner of this masonry work and he has provided employment to two male from his society. Anith gets contract orders not only in Jaffna but also in Kilinochhci and Mullaitivu. His living standard has improved as an owner of masonry work and building his own house. He is keeping accounts records properly what he learnt through business coaching training. He has planned to expand his business in future and recruit more young masons. His monthly saving LKR. 3000.
