Agro Well Renovation to Benefit Local Farmers
Under the project titled “Expanded Support for Durable Resettlement and Reintegration,” three agro wells were successfully renovated by the Centre For Child Development (CFCD), with support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). This initiative aimed to enhance agricultural productivity by improving water access for local farmers.
The project saw the completion of two agro wells in the Kopay division and one in Point Pedro, providing vital irrigation to a total of 18 farmers. These wells now irrigate approximately 170.5 lachai of cultivable land, significantly improving the potential for farming activities in the area.
This renovation is a crucial step in ensuring that the farming community has consistent access to water, enabling them to expand their agricultural production and improve their livelihoods.
