Children’s Day and Teachers’ Day Celebration 2024 at Visuvamadu SDC
On October 12th, 2024, the Visuvamadu Social Development Centre (SDC) hosted a vibrant celebration of Children’s Day and Teachers’ Day, led by the Chairman of CFCD. The event brought together the president of the Visuvamadu Community Centre, CFCD staff, teachers, parents, and students, capturing the essence of Jaffna’s cultural spirit.
The celebration began with the traditional lighting of the oil lamp, followed by cultural performances from pre-school and centre students, showcasing their talents with pride. Students were recognized with prizes, and teachers were honored for their dedication, embodying the community’s respect for education.
A lively segment involving the teachers added joy to the event, strengthening bonds. Concluding with a vote of thanks, the day was filled with inspiration, leaving all participants with a deep sense of connection to their heritage and the importance of education.
