Case Story – Easwaran Chandrika
The peaceful life of a young family of Mrs Easwaran Chandrika suddenly became awful and unbearable with turn of unfortunate event. Her husband and followed by two children passed away within short period. After the lost of her family members and as well as her natal home she was totally disappointed and felt lonely. She says “with the support of my sibling my life was dragging in Iyanar Kovilady, Chunnakam. She was very happy about her land has released on April 2018 and came back to Myliddy North by the good governance. Looking at the plight of Chandrika CFCD has decided to give her support. She said “I do not know any other trade except agriculture. Agriculture is our traditional job from my childhood.” She underwent 5 days agriculture coaching training and practical sessions. She has received agriculture tools and equipment worth of LKR.140, 177 on 7th December 2018. Now she is actively involving in onion, banana, brinjal, potatoes, beetroot and kurakkan. She is saying with a smile “Now I’m spending my leisure with these crops, it is not only a hobby it gives me better yield and income. I have harvested potatoes, onion and beetroot and earned LKR. 280,000 and my profit was LKR. 110,000.” She is going to expand her cultivation in future. We can see pleasant and very active lady. She was one of the organizers during integration event.
